The Grave of Henry Martin Baldwin Wilson

Inscription:

"H. M. B. WILSON
APRIL 23, 1835
JULY 21, 1914

Henry Martin Baldwin Wilson, son of pioneer pastor Abraham Deremer and Julia A. Wilson, wrote the book History of Fairview Reformed Church, 1837 - 1912, a thorough, delightful, and genealogically-rich account of the early days of the Fairview Church and of the people who loved and were enriched by it. The book is still available through the yet-flourishing church. We plan to post excerpts from this book, as well as from the original Fairview Church records, on these pages in the near future.

To the left of his grave is that of his wife, Sarah C. "Kate" (Skillman) Wilson. [Sarah C. (Skillman) Wilson Grave]

To the right of his grave is that of his daughter, Celia E. Wilson. [Celia E. Wilson Grave]

Henry Martin Baldwin Wilson and Sarah C. (Skillman) Wilson had another daughter, named Mary Eliza Wilson, who married Elmer Rowe. Their granddaughter Janet met with your webmaster Alice in Fair Oaks near Sacramento, California one magical day in 2000 to share photos, information, and stories, and to refresh the close and eternal bond between the Isaac Hageman family and the family of Fairview's beloved Dominie Abraham Deremer Wilson. The gold cross that Janet, great-great-granddaughter of Rev. Abraham Wilson, wore around her neck glowed with a deep, unforgettable light that carried my Dutch-American spirit up, away, and beyond the present time and space...
