50. Rev. Augustus David BROKAW.1,7,13 Born on 24 Jul 1886 in Lamar, Nebraska.18 Resided in Arlington, Washington, then Rochester, Minnesota.18  Augustus David died in Feb 1970 in Minnesota.19 Rev. Augustus David Brokaw was buried in Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Occupation: pastor; he held pastorates in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, and other places, and his last one was in Arlington, Washington.18 SS#: 539-34-079330

On 21 Jun 1911 when Augustus David was 24, he married Bessie Wheeler BERG.18 She was born in McPherson, Kansas.18

Augustus D. Brokaw, born at Lamar, Nebraska, attended the Cotner University at Bethany, Nebr., graduating 1912 with an A.B. Degree; had studied for the ministry and held numerous pastorates before retiring in 1957. Bessie Berg was born at McPherson, Kansas, and they lived in a number of localities. He held pastorates in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, and other places, and his last one was in Arlington, Washington, where he had retired. From 1958 on he has been in Rochester, Minnesota. Letters received from him from Arlington, Wn. and Rochester, Minn.

On 21 Jun 1915 when Elsie Lavina was 27, she married Emery Ronald CORNELL Sr. 13,30 Immigrated to Phoenix, Arizona from Larned, Kansas.13

Eva June married Mr. [Unidentified] EPPARD.13

Eva Brokaw graduated from the University of Nebraska, 1914, with an A.B. Degree, and was principal of high school at Clarinda, Iowa. She married a Mr. Shepard [sic Eppard], had no children [sic one known daughter--see photo], and she d. there Apr 22, 1951.

On 29 May 1917 when Francis Hastings was 24, he married June ERFORD,18 daughter of Elton J. ERFORD & Lilly Bell LOWERY, in Staplehurst, Nebraska.18 SS#: 506-24-618330

Frank Brokaw, as he is called, born at Milford, Nebraska, completed grade and high school then attended Cotner College (or University) at Bethany, Nebraska, graduating with an A.B. Degree, 1916. June Erford was a daughter of Elton J. and Lilly Bell (Lowery) Erford, and she and Francis Brokaw were married in Staplehurst, Nebraska. Frank was superintendent of schools, in Bethany, for some time, and later they removed to the State of Washington and are living in Everett.

Aletta Ann BROKAW.1,13 Born on 22 Jan 189730 in Milford, Seward Co., Nebraska.18,30 Immigrated to Upland, California.18 Occupation: school teacher until her marriage.18 Religion: she and her husband were missionaries for the Christian Church in the Philippines for many years.18 Alias/AKA: Alletta.1

On 11 Aug 1920 when Aletta Ann was 23, she married Rev. Paul D. KENNEDY.30 Occupation: pastor.18 Religion: Rev. and Mrs. Paul Kennedy were missionaries for the Christian Church in the Philippines for many years.18

Aletta Brokaw, born and reared in Milford, Nebraska, and near the town of Seward, which towns were near the farm of her parents. She attended Cotner University at Bethany, Nebr. graduating, 1918, with an A.B. Degree, then taught school until married. The Rev. and Mrs. Paul Kennedy were missionaries for the Christian Church in the Philippines for many years. They now reside in Upland, California.

In the family of the Rev. Kennedys there are 8 grandchildren, who were not named in the records sent to us by the Rev. A.D. Brokaw, then of Everett, Washington. Was visiting there at the time.

55. Margaret Naomi BROKAW.1,13 Born on 19 Dec 1898 in Seward, Seward Co., Nebraska.13 She was the twin of Fred Wilson Brokaw.1 Margaret Naomi died in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska on 4 Nov 1920; she was 21.13

Fred Wilson BROKAW.13 Born on 19 Dec 1898 in Seward, Seward Co., Nebraska.30 Fred Wilson was the twin of Margaret Naomi Brokaw.1 Immigrated to Bellingham, Washington from Lincoln where they had resided for years.20 Occupation: underwriter and staff manager of the Prudential Insurance Co. of America.20 Religion: they were members of the Christian Church; he was an Elder and Bible school teacher of high school age children; member of the choir and of the church board.20 Alias/AKA: "Freddie."1

On 16 Jun 1920 when Fred Wilson was 21, he married Myra Aletha HARDING,20 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska.20 She was born in Hebron, Nebraska.20

Fred Brokaw, born on a farm near Milford, Nebraska, received his education there and in Lincoln, Nebraska. he then served in the U.S. Army in World War One to 1918. He was married in Lincoln to Myra Harding who was born in Hebron, Nebraska, and they lived in Lincoln for years prior to moving to Bellingham, Washington. Fred Brokaw is employed there as underwriter and staff manager of the Prudential Insurance Co of America. The family are members of the Christian Church; he an Elder and Bible school teacher of high school age children; member of the choir and of the church board.
Military: Fred Wilson Brokaw served in the U.S. Army in World War One until 1918.20
